ABR is full service ski touring center with 75km of trails located on over 1100 scenic acres of varied terrain along the Montreal River in Ironwood Michigan.

We offer skate/classic combination trails along with singletrack classic and even snowshoeing and multi-use/skijoring trails.

We work on the trails full-time in the off months and have done substantial trail work each and every year since we opened to the public in 1995.

Wolverine Nordic Ski Trails in Ironwood offers 24K of ski trails including several loops for classic striding and skate skiing. There are 14K of marked snowshoe trails and 7K of snow bike trails.

Lake Effect snow provides the area with snow that tends to arrive earlier, pile deeper, and last longer than anywhere else in the midwest. The rolling terrain offers trails for all levels of skiing, snowshoeing, and snow biking.

Mt. Zion Ski Hill is Located on the campus of Gogebic Community College. Open to the public, the Mt. Zion complex also serves as a laboratory for the college’s nationally recognized Ski Area Management Program. Mt. Zion is well-known for its numerous “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Programs” for children, and its very own, snow-tubing park. Enjoy beautiful vistas, mountain biking, Frisbee golf, Ski & Snowboard. Newly erected overlook has been installed for breathtaking views and Northern Lights displays.

We also carry fishing licenses, lures and maps, as well as freeze-dried foods. During your stay stop in at our full service bait shop.  We offer a variety of fishing gear.  We also have minnows, night crawlers, leeches and worms.  We  are also happy to provide  tips and tricks to catch the big ones on Lake Gogebic. Ice fishing in the winter time on Lake Gogebic, is definitely one of the things you will want to add to your list of winter activities.  Bergland Outfitters, LLC is  operated under special use permit with the Ottawa National Forest.
